Helmets
Children get hurt while riding bikes and skate boards for not putting on their helmet. They say it is not cool for them to wear. But it's for them to be safe at all times. Although a great exercise, ridding a bike, in-line skating, or skateboard without protective gear can be dangerous. According to SAFEKIDS, bicycle helmets have been shown to repudce the risk of head injury by as 85%. There has been a 54% reduction in the number of bike-related death since 1999. We want your kids to be safe and not get injured.

Munger Girls are IT!

It Was an International Success!
Munger classes really "Stepped up their game" to create doors representing various countries. The project was fun AND a great learning experience. Some students in Mr. Boye's class even learned some Polish dances! Nice job everyone.

Ms. De Garcia's Students Proudly Display STEM Projects.
Ms. DeGarcia's class used recycled materials to design and build robots. What a great STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) project. The results speak for themselves!
Munger's Science and Engineering Night is a BIG HIT!
Many parents and students turned out for Munger's 3rd Family Science and Engineering night. Munger staff stayed after school on Thursday, October 20 and families arrived to enjoy a fun afternoon of learning and discovery. Exhibits by General Motors (who brought out a Chevrolet Volt) and Wayne State University's School of Engineering, along with several performances by the Munger Cheer team and an appearance by Logan the Lion, made the experience extra special. Without a doubt, the highlight was the interactions among teachers, parents and students.
More pictures of Engineering Night coming soon!
